You need an image consultant of sorts to help you to enhance your image, and empower you to think like a star.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Half effort will bring half results.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can you imagine the Dallas Cowboys or the LA Lakers or the NY Giants going to the Super Bowl without a Coach?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You are a superstar. You're good at what you do, but realistically speaking, can you possibly be good at &lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;everything&lt;/span&gt;? Chances are, the answer is no. You can't do everything and everything well. If you try--you will end up being mediocre at all, or as the old saying goes, "pursuer of everything, master of none."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have you ever been so busy that you failed to stop what you were doing, take a step back and consider an easier, more effective means for achieving results? (I have!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've made this and other mistakes, so now I've learned to take time away from all the "busy-ness" and analyze the situation to see if there is some other way--better way to accomplish my goals. When I do this, I find ideas I never would have thought of down in the trenches, and this further illuminates my path and causes me to exceed my own expectations.&lt;div So far, these are the ones I have encountered. Can you think of any more? If so, let me know in the comment area below. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;1. I can't afford it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;When times are tough, marketing becomes more crucial than ever. Thankfully, today we have the option of taking advantage of social media sales &amp; marketing. Social media offers the the most efficient and affordable marketing on the planet. If you know what you're doing, you can build a name for yourself quickly, and you can saturate the market with your brand message faster than any other time in the history of mankind. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;2. It's too expensive.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is it worth to you to build your brand among your target market to the extent that everyone knows your name and likes you?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;3. My target market isn't on the web.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is your target market online? If not, drive them to your online community. Initiate the process.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;4. Not sure what I'm doing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We work with people every day who are not sure what they need to do, and lack computer skills and internet know-how. This is why we are here. We help those who are beginners, all the way to advanced level, helping you to build your brand, get in front of your audience and close deals through social media. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;5. I can do it myself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sure, you can probably do social media yourself. It's pretty easy to use the social media tools, however, it's one thing to understand how to use the tools of social media, and quite another to know how to actually sell and market yourself and/or your business through social media. Today's consumer is different, and it's important that you understand the nuances of selling through the internet as opposed to selling face-to-face. Sure, you could teach yourself over time, however, my coaching services help you cut-to-the-chase and learn what you need to know quickly so you suffer from fewer initial mistakes, less down-time and less wasted time. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;6. I don't have any extra time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Social media is not an option that can be excused away by the lack of time. Not having time to use a super-fast, super-effective new technology that the entire world is embracing is more like a cop-out, or hiding your head in the sand. Do you have time to use your cell phone? Do you have time to look something up on the computer instead of the phone book? Do you have time to drive your car instead of riding a bike? If so, then you understand why you definitely have time for social media. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No TIME for social media? Do you use email instead of mail? Car instead of bike? Cell or carrier pigeon? Make time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;7. I do not believe it's effective.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Social media is an effective means of networking and communication. The internet itself has increased our capacities to the level of the industrial revolution. It opens networks, connected the world and helped us to exchange information and ideas rapidly. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Social media is a big deal, and it’s revealing a giant shift in media, marketing, politics, relationships and culture. " ~ Brian Clark &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;8. I don't think it's the best use of my time.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're in sales, then much of what you are already doing can be done more efficiently using the web and social media. We teach people how to digitize their sales process and use the viral mechanisms of social media to increase the effectiveness of their existing processes. For example, you can use Twitter to follow up with prospects and clients. You can invite people to events using EventBrite and Facebook, you can keep track of those you call on regularly using Facebook and LinkedIn. The options for increasing productivity and efficiency are astronomical. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;9. There is a young person in my office who will do it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Social media marketing takes special skills. It's not just about the technical skills needed to build Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and RSS Feeds. Social media is about marketing and selling online. You need someone with experience in sales and marketing on the web. You need someone with excellent writing skills, strategic thinking ability, and an understanding of how people tick. You need more than a great techie. You need a well-rounded, experienced marketer to bring results. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;10. I can barely turn on the computer.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's okay if you can barely turn on the computer. We work with people every day who are new to the internet, new to the computer and just getting started. We will help you, step-by-step to sign up for the social media accounts that you need to generate business for your company. You will love it! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;11. Computers are cold and impersonal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Computers are tools in the hands of people. If you have experienced computers as being cold and impersonal, that's because you haven't delved into Web 2.0, that is, the social web. The social web capabilities discovered through social media has changed the way the web works, and caused people to become more open, friendly and receptive. Relationships are being formed quickly and more significantly than those built face-to-face. I have met many people online in person and made great, lasting friendships and clients. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;12. I am going to teach myself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can teach yourself the basics, but social media is so much more than that. You need to know how to MARKET your business on the web, which is totally different from face-to-face sales or print marketing. The web requires a whole new set of rules. The social media phenomenon has changed the consumer. It's no longer business-as-usual. I am too busy as it is.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may be too busy now, but that will likely not always be the case unless you maintain a consistent marketing strategy. It's important to market your business steadily, in good times and bad, to keep things balanced and keep you from having to stop production time to focus on generating new clients later. If you don't want to get any business, and your company is winding down, that's another story. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;15. I don't want to waste money.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nothing is worse than wasting money. Nothing is worse than trusting someone to handle your marketing, and getting nothing out of it. Nothing is worse than being a fool and getting ripped off. This may have happened to you in the past, I'm sure it's happened to al of us. However, it's crucial that we not make sweeping judgments when we are wronged in business. There are some opportunities out there that will, in fact, deliver results. Social media marketing is one of those options that uses the efficiency of the internet to build your brand and bring you results easier, faster and more powerfully than ever. You cannot go wrong when you invest in getting educated in web technology, marketing and branding. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;16. I need to read more, learn more, watch you more.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Procrastination is a dangerous state of being, especially in business. Right now, social media is new and the road to success is wide open. If you wait too long, you will miss the boat. Eventually, everyone will be jumping on the band wagon and shouting in the crowd about their business and being successful through social media will get harder and harder. Why not improve your chances of success by getting educated now, and learning to make your brand stand out using the rapid communication capabilities of social media? Why not gain leeway, traction and market share now, while your competition is "waiting to see?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;17. I want to find someone else to pay for it.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are in sales, it's a great idea to have your company pay for your social media training, however, while you're waiting on the higher-ups to make their decision, you're losing valuable traction time. The social media ship is sailing onto the harbor and you're missing it! It's better to go ahead and invest in yourself immediately, and request that your boss reimburse your expenses. There is no substitute for quality training and expert advice. Right now is the time to take advantage of what social media can do to boost your name, increase your sales and put money in your pocket. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;18. I need to figure out what I'm going to do.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may not yet know exactly what to do, that's why coaching and training is so important. Without the proper understanding of the web and social media marketing, you will not be able to make the best decisions on what products or services you want or need to make your business shine online. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;19. I'm a new agent.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A new agent can gain the same leverage as an experienced agent or sales person with 20 years in the industry. Social media puts everyone and every business on a level playing field. It's about relationships, engagement and accessibility. It doesn't matter how large your budget, all that matters is you have the skills to reach people and draw them into your message. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;20. I'm about to go talk to someone else.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's understandable to talk to more than one expert before making a decision about what social media coaching and training solution you will choose. It's wise to choose coaches that have experience in sales and your industry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;21. I am so busy, I can't think.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are ways we can use social media tools to digitize your current processes, which will make you more efficient. It's like "killing two birds with one stone." Social media, however, allows us to kill 10 or more birds wit one stone! Many times in smaller organizations centered around a sole-proprietor or entrepreneur, there is a tendency to look to the founder for solutions to issues that arise. Looking to someone else to give you instruction doesn't help you to develop as a team or an individual. While it is easier to pass problems along to others and expect them to provide solutions for you, that is not the best approach to problem solving.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Problems Will Occur &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Problems will occur in any business or organization. What sets your company apart from the rest is the creative ways you use to solve everyday business issues. These problems can also be described as "resistence." Problems are resistence to getting the job done with excellence. When faced with resistence, it is important not to buckle, but instead to take steps necessary to solve the problems you face in your job.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Passing the Buck&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The natural tendency when faced with particularly complex or confusing problems is to pass the problem to someone higher in the chain of command. This is deterimental to the success of any organization. It's crucial that you as a participant team member are able to take ownership of your entire realm of responsibility and to solve problems within that realm and beyond. Everyday brings a new opportunity for you to learn more and to solve issues that were impossible to you yesterday, but only if you step outside of the box and solve problems on your own without being rescued by team leaders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Choosing Discipline over Comfort&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Achieving goals requires that you chose discipline over comfort. It's more comfortable to complete easier tasks and save harder ones for later. It's more comfortable to allow difficult problems to become time critical so that your own responsibility is absolved by necesity to get the job done. This is not the way of a worldclass company. In a worldclass company where all team members are committed to excellence, each participant puts forth their best effort on the most difficult problems, sharing in the responsibility for resolution and taking ownership of his or her work agenda.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Problem Solving&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Try to solve a problem before it occurs. Do this by taking time to pinpoint potential sources of inefficiency within your realm of work. Create contingency plans to tackle hurdles that may potentially arise.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most problems have more than one solution. Try to determine three alternative solutions to the problem you face, then choose the best solution based upon:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Best Solution&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Fastest to Implement&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Least Cost &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Provides the longest-term benefits&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;When solving a problem, play the game of "what if." Think the problem through and try to determine what different outcomes you are likely to anticipate. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Day to day Problem Solving&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;If you are faced with an issue that you're not sure about, you have a problem that's just itching for a solution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Pick up the phone and call someone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. Google it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3. Step back and consider the big picture and the ultimate purpose of the task. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;4. Don't be afraid of mistakes&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;5. Organize components of the problem.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;6. Analyze components of the problem. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;7. Figure out what information you need.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;8. Find alternative sources for information. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;9. Brainstorm different solutions. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;10. Do something!!! Don't save it for later. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Turn Obstacles into Opportunities&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#009900;"&gt;Large &amp; Small Problems&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Some problems are larger than others.
